LION offers you a job where you can make a difference! LION develops and produces fire simulation systems for training purposes all over the world. These are used by fire departments, defense forces, emergency response organizations and industrial companies. Our parent company is an international market leader in the sale of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) specializing in Fire Department clothing. Since 2025 LION expanded the market further by now also offering EN certified firefighter suits from our EMEA location in Tilburg. For this we are looking for a Category Sales Manager PPE.
About the position
The Category Sales Manager PPE works together with the Regional Sales Managers to establish product-market combination plans in line with business objectives. You are constantly looking for growth opportunities in the market and analyze regional market trends. This includes identifying, preparing, and working out tenders and offers. In addition, you prepare the annual budget and report on sales results.
In fact, you visit customers and dealers to present LION PPE and support daily operations. Giving demo tours and organizing product presentations for and with dealers and customers gives you energy.
The department
PPE is a quite new department within the organization with a product that EMEA has not actively sold in the past. You will work closely with the Product Manager PPE and the Inside Sales Accountmanager PPE. You will report to the Managing Director.
What do you bring to the position?
A bachelor’s degree is desired, complemented by work experience as a Category Sales Manager, Area Manager, or similar senior sales position. You have a history of successful sales results and territory growth. In addition, you are familiar with direct sales to end users and sales through dealers.
Experience within the fire or public safety industry or experience selling functional apparel (such as PPE) is strongly preferred.
For this sales position, we require someone with very good interpersonal and communication skills (English is a must, verbal and written). Establishing long-term relationships with customers comes naturally to you. You are organizationally and commercially very strong and have a problem-solving attitude. By measuring and analyzing performance indicators, you know where you are going to focus on. Is there a challenge somewhere? You are proactive and quickly propose an appropriate solution.

Within this job you can travel up to 20% your working hours.
